The Conventions and Trade Shows Directory is completely open, meaning this directory is proposed, but there is no owner in place as of yet. However, there is a way that participants can get this directory going.
Those who will benefit by being listed in a Conventions and Trade Shows directory should submit the general request form. (This lets everyone know that there is interest in this directory.) If enough requests come in, someone will jump in and build out the directory.
Please submit your request at http://buyersguide.net/generalapp.html
If you plan to attend a tradeshow for your individual industry or profession, and you are willing to share display space, represent non-attendees, or in some way support others (thus reducing your own costs) IMC would like to help you. You can inquire about wholesale trade shows right now at http://buyersguide.net/imc/tradeshowinquiry.html
Do you have a Web Directory for Conventions and Trade Shows? (Or do you want to have one?)
IMC is run like any representative democracy. The members within the group make the rules.
Until we establish a governmental body and bylaws, here's how it is decided as to who's directory gets listed:
1)
How extensive is your directory?
Do you have
a large number of listed web sites? The more extensive your directory,
the more visitors will be pleased with your site.
2)
How much traffic do you return to the group?
You return
traffic to the central directory (the BuyersGuide Directory of Directories)
by way of an icon and link that you place on your homepage. The more traffic
you bring in, the more likely the others in the group will want to link
back to you.
3)
How much do you support the Service Providers that are within the group?
Face it,
someone has to pay for what we are all doing. We get free services such
as hosting, search engine rankings, etc. The companies that provide these
free services hope to benefit by getting work through us, the participants.
These companies also have a vote, so we can assume that greased wheels
can have some impact.
By the way, the general request form will allow you to inquire about becoming a Service Provider for Conventions and Trade Shows, up to and including owning this directory.
